The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their position as key figures in the influential clan could help the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.
Future Episodes
From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Strategists tables.
Fans can anticipate learning which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
